Sam Lin is a Taiwanese singer, actor, and TV host, and a former member of the boy group SpeXial, where he was the main rapper and visual member. He is currently signed under TVBS.

Lin was discovered by a talent scout while with a friend at a metro station. He attended the private Hua-Gang Arts School in Taipei, where he focused on dance, and later graduated from the Performing Arts Department of Nan-Qiang Industrial Vocational High School.

In 2012, Lin entered the entertainment industry as an actor after being discovered by Comic Productions. He later joined SpeXial, a group formed by Comic Productions.

Lin enlisted in the military on May 15, 2015, and was discharged on May 14, 2016. After his discharge, he released his first solo single, "Uncategorized," on September 29, 2016.
